Magnified Airway Study
EXAM: Magnified airway.
CLINICAL HISTORY: An 11-month-old female with episodes of difficulty in breathing, cough.
TECHNIQUE: Multiple fluoroscopic spot images of the pharyngeal airway, trachea, and mainstem bronchi were performed in various phases of respiration.
FINDINGS: The airway is patent throughout its course. Specifically, the trachea and both mainstem bronchi do not demonstrate evidence of dynamic collapse greater than 50%.
No filling defects are identified.
The vocal cords demonstrate normal opening and closing.
IMPRESSION: Normal magnified airway examination.
